So this has been happening on and off for probably about 1 year. I didn't make much of it but since its been going on so long, I've finally decided I want to do something about it.
So along with the symptoms mentioned above, I also have brain fog. I feel like my brain capacity has reduced significantly. I can no longer focus as well, and often forget what I am doing as a result . For e.g. I will go into the kitchen for something, and forget what I went in there for for a few seconds, before I can remember again. Or just right now, I came upstairs took my laptop out of my bag and put it on the table. I then took my headphones out and as I was doing it, I couldn't remember whether or not I had taken my charger out along with the laptop. It turns out I hadn't but I feel like if I was "aware" of what I was doing, I would have remembered.
It seems like a very small thing but it has been happening very regularly lately and I don't feel as sharp and alert as I used to anymore. I always feel like i'm in a daze. I used to think I was quite smart (good logical reasoning, good memory, always an A student with little or no effort) and to a certain extent I still do, but no where near what I used to be.
I guess I should also mention, that I am a vegetarian. I know that iron-deficiency anemia is common among us and so got some iron tablets recently. They do seem to keep me awake more but its too early to tell and could easily be a placebo effect.
Also, and this may be completely irrelevant, but caffeine seems to have no effect on me. I took 2 caffeine tablets (120mg in total I think) and it made no difference to me. I took them in a effort to increase my focus and reduce the tired feeling.
I do get plenty of sleep so it's definitely not that before anyone of you mention it.
Anyone have any ideas?
