I was stung in the Ocean in South Carolina while swimming in the surf. It was not a Jelly Fish. I have a site on my leg where I was stung. It was extremely painful..and now it itches very bad. The site now, after 10 days is still irritated and red. What looks like small lines (stingers) are under my skin and I'm not sure what to do. I'm using Hydrocortizone Cream and that is helping the itching...but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I'd first like to know what I possibly got stung by, and what do I do now? This is a strange occurance for me. I've never seen it before. I know it was not a Jelly fish, as I get stung by them quite often here at my house. This was something else. Any insight you may have would be greatly apprecited.
