It does take about a week to get over viral stomach flu which isn't really a flu but that is what most people call it. It is caused by norovirus usually. If you are able to drink fluids maybe cut back on eating solid foods too much and you should feel better. If it doesn't get better you could have a bacterial food poisoning. Do you have a high fever? See if you cut back on your solid food intake and try soups and see if you feel better. If you have a high fever you should see your doctor. It could be bacteria food poisoning and the antibiotic they gave you may not be the correct one. If you have no fever then it may be just too much food too soon.
Hope this helps.

for the most part, later in the day I feel better, I still feel my stomach problems but feel good, in the mornings however I get lightheaded and nausea when eating and my Mother gets really scared since its been around 4 days with that.
I do not understand why a good doctor would prescribe antibiotics if he knew it was a virus. They don't help cure a virus.
Until you feel better keep off heavy foods, dairy, fruits and veg.
have crackers, jam, honey, tea, rice and other bland foods.
Yes it sounds like you are recovering from the viral food poisoning. If it was viral they didn't need to give you an antibiotic. Maybe they gave it to you because they didn't know if it was viral or bacterial so I would continue to finish the antibiotic until it is done or you could develop resistance. Keep hydrated and you should be well soon.
