Pain In Eye After a Concussion? Please Help.

On August 28th,2010 at about 1:36am I tried to break up a fight between 2 guys, in the process got my arms jerked around, and the back right of my head punched near my right area in the lower half the the skull and top of the neck. my headache occured about an hour after the incident when i started to relax. since then I have gone to the ER once, and my primary doctor twice. I have had stiff neck issues (prior to incident i have been into an accident a few years ago and got whiplash still have issues to this day (4 yrs later) i have had memory problems due to the blow to the head, Confusion, Dizziness (seeing stars), out of the blue i just "fall asleep" doesn't matter what time of day it is, or what im doing, well starting Monday Aug. 30th, 2010 i began feeling a pain in my right eye. It feels like a sty does, There is no sign of infection, and no swelling of my eye. My primary doctor's said that he doesn't know what it is and that it can be related to my head injury. The doctor said that if it hasnt changed by monday sept   6th that i NEED to come back and have an MRI or a CT scan done.

My question is, is can my eye pain (that feels like something is between the outside edge between my eyeball and the eye socket deeper inside) really be associated with the Concussion? and what are the Possible issues at hand? What could be wrong?

Thank you again for your information and insight i greatly appreciate it would just like an idea of what could be wrong.

Get the MRI as soon as possible, head injuries are nothing to play around with.

If it is that intense, please go to the ER and get the MRI done now; I wouldn't wait.

In my opinion, you should have had one by now anyways.

My outside corner of my left eye hurting/annoying. The dr wanted to wait until Monday to do the MRI. I don't know what I should do. Wait thru the weekend see if it does get better?

This sounds ALL head-related injury.  I would recommend getting an MRI like yesterday.  I would not be so overly concerned about infection, but brain/eye injury and/or damage.

All the best.  Keep us posted.

well all I can answer here is you are right get an MRI to see what kind of damage was done. Also, the brain gets damaged with a concussion even if temporary and depending where it was injured could be putting pressure on the optic nerve or something. So, get going on the MRI. sorry this happened to you and stay away from the jerks.
