Plant to Eye

My friend was resently cleaning her room. She was about to through out a plant that she had for awhile now and some of the old dirty plant water got into my eye. (She lifted it over my head joking she was going to drop it.) Is this bad and will it affect my eye in any way. I wear contacts. Should I take them out just in case?

As someone that worked in Ophthalmology for a number years, I can tell you will be fine if you remove your contacts, rinse and then STERILIZE your contacts. Use your weekly disinfectant cleaning solution or heat on your contacts  (follow you contact brand type instructions for proper disinfecting).
Complete this process before attempting to re-insert them. Remember, soil has a number of bacteria which are great for plants but bad for you eyes.

Definitely take out the contacts, and swirl around a tear solution if you have one on you. I would keep them out for a while because if you miss anything (like little bits of dirt) it could get under the contacts and cause serious problems.
