Question about human waste

This is embarrassing and perhaps strange but today after having some diarrhea at home I realized that we had very little toilet paper left. I wiped two or three times with what was remaining but after the last wipe, it definitely wasn't fully clean.
I wasn't sure what to do so I jumped into the shower to clean off any residual mess. I live with roommates so I tried to clean the shower floor, taps, and bathtub rim in order not to leave anything behind.
However, after about 15-20 seconds of rinsing in the shower I realized I had left the soap on the bathroom sink so I stepped briefly out of the shower to get it and then proceeded to clean myself.
Now I am feeling very guilty that I either didn't clean the shower well enough or that I may have dropped some slightly dirty water on to the bathroom floor when I jumped out to grab the soap. I was going to try to clean the floor but as soon as I got out of the bathroom to go get something to clean it with, my roommate got into the shower and I had to leave for an appointment.
Any danger to my roommates from possibly stepping in water with traces of my feces?
Many thanks

What you should have done was to use bleach in the shower on the faucet and anything you touched! C. difficile is a bacteria in your intestines.  It is found normally in healthy and ill people alike.  There are millions, perhaps billions of different types of bacteria in your body.  Bacteria are an important part of your health.  They help break down and digest food.  They also ward off many "bad" or foreign bacteria that you may come in contact with.  In fact, the "good" or normal bacteria on your hands can kill certain bad bacteria which you may pick up handling food or touching everyday items and fixtures.   When you have an imbalance of bacteria and c-diff takes over, it creates two main types of toxins that affect your body and give you the symptoms of the actual disease.  The toxins attack your intestinal wall and left untreated may cause ulcerations

You know it would be an idea for you to get some help with the OCD.........Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with a psychologist.  Before it gets worse.  I hear it works really well.

You are funny because a lot of people wouldn't even think about this. I wouldn't worry about that either. But wash you hands well after the mat. Don't scrub them so hard you make them bleed! just normal thourough hand washing. I am glad your tossing the mat. Our immune systems are great at fighting these common bacteria so no worries here. You can always cover your cuts with a bandaid or wear gloves while washing up in the future. If you are particularly worried about a cut you can put a little OTC 3% hydrogen peroide on them and dry.

So I just went home and cleaned the bathroom floor which included throwing out a pretty disgusting bath mat. I picked the bath mat up with my bare fingers and threw it out and now ironically im obsessing about that.
I have a few cracks on the back of my hand because of OCD induced hand washing and I'm wondering if I could be at risk for anything from touching a bacteria-laden mat on the floor.
I tried to be careful and pick it up with just my finger tips and I have no idea why I didn't use a paper towel or something. I was just obsessing so much over the guilt. Lol, OCD is fun...
Any further comments would be appreciated so much

I still wouldn't worry even though it sounds "gross" there are a lot of bacteria in the area around the toilet in general and by walking on the area and stepping into the shower there should be no ramifications. If this was another area such as the sink or around tooth brushes etc. where it would be injested by mistake I would think about it more. I would go back and clean up anyway just because it is fair to clean up after yourself. Maybe you should have told him not to go in there you need to clean up, but it is done and washed down the drain! The soap will get washed off too and though some bacteria can hang on to soap scum so it is good to go in and clean up you haven't yet done a good cleaning. I think generally when you clean your bottom in the shower on a daily basis you are going to get some residual stool into the shower so it happens anyway just not as high a concentration of bacteria. If you were ill or had any disease I would say otherwise. But even then the chances of transmitting something is really small. The person(s) would have to have a cut on their foot for example..
