Shocked by power outlet

A little bit ago I touched both prongs of an electrical outlet and felt a pretty large shock, there is no burn, only light numbness.
Do I need to be concerned about any long term effects? Should I go to the doctor?

Hello~I don't see any reason to go to a doctor. The numbness will probably leave shortly.
