Whiplash treatment

I have whiplash from headbanging (i wont be headbanging any more) i had tingling in my left hand, but it went away. im 25, and on naproxen for about a month. I'm 2 and a half months into the injury and my neck still feels off. What should I do?

If there is no permanent damage, you definitely need to see a chiropractor, he/she will be able to help with any subluxations, that is their specialty.

Tilt your head in the opposite direction of the bang.
Use pillows with ergonomic functions and custom to fit your entire spine.
Get a custom Ultramatic-like bed.
Sooth neck with calm, harmless, and cool patches of clean, and indigenous tobacco.
exercise sit-ups or do straight snow-angel movements.

Often the condition worsens after a year or so and results in chronic pain.

You should have been provided with an axial traction device and have been directed to use it for several minutes at a time, several times a day. And to keep well-hydrated.

Use of naproxin alone is pointless. A collar is contra-indicated. X-rays are pointless.

If the problem continues you should get an MRI of the cervical area to determine the degree (if any) of structural damage.  If there is no damage or spinal degeneration range-of motion exercises are indicated. You may have developed what is called a subluxation, which can be relieved by professional manipulation.
