Get in to see your Dr. There could be several things going on including excess gas, water retention, a food allergy. It's really hard for any of us here to say what's going on for sure. Only your Dr can tell by examining you and possibly running tests. Remar
It could be nothing or could be a hernia... I would wait a few days and if it doesn't go down go to the doctor... I am not a dr. just giving you possibilites, like I said could be nothing or could be serious..
Hello Cynthia~It sounds to me like you could have a very bad case of gas, gas can get trapped under the ribs and sometimes even lift them up a little, I know, I speak from experience. Does this happen only when you eat, or do you have it with you most all the time?
I would try taking some activated charcoal, you can get this in a capsule form from a health food store and it literally draws all the gas out of a person, also, try some digestive enzymes, again, obtainable at a health food store. When you drink water, don't drink it super cold, and when you eat, eat smaller amounts and not when you are upset. Good-ole tums helps too, but, if you have a blood sugar issue, be careful, there is sugar in them and that can affect your blood glucose.
If it persists or gets worse, I would see a doctor, preferably an internist, they seem more in tune with the going-ons in our bodies.
Hope this helps.
