I am a 50 year old male, a well-controlled type 1 diabetic (on Novolog and Lantus) for 38 years, and on a generic form of Synthroid (.150 micro), and also on BP med - but what I am mentioning below starting happening way before I was on that BP med.
For many years now I have had very hard stools. I pass them at least once a day, but they are so hard they cause pain, they are also very large to the point that they clog the toilet. They always sink, instead of floating.
Is fixing this concern simply a matter of eating more fiber?
Could it be related to my Thyroid med?
Can it be related to artificial sweetners?
