chest cold, and pain

Hi. I am 60 years old, and I have a question about some cramps I am having in the center of my chest. And thats exactly what it feels like, a cramp. It lasts for about a second and then it's gone. I know I have had this before, in the past but I can't remember when of why. I do have a cold right now and have had some terrible coughing spells. It could be that is why I had this in the past, but I can't remember for sure. I have a chest cold and cough so hard that I wet my pants. Seriously. Is it possible that is causing the cramps? My ribs hurt, and I also am having back pain. I will be looking for your response. Thank you.

Hi there....the cramping could very well be from coughing etc...But I really suggest that you see your Doctor ....... (to see if your heart is okay) ...Best of luck and get better soon!

Went to the doctor this morning. I have a bronchial infection and the pain in my chest has a name, but not related to cardiac. Thank goodness.  This is some really nasty bronchial stuff and I hope none of you get it.
