it should have beeen stitched get to a doctor asap
Yah it should have for sure but it's too late for stitches now. I need something I can do ti tied me over till I see the dr! I couldn't get an appointment until Thursday the 20th?!?!
If it was me I would go and get some aloe Vera Gel, once you have some put it in the Fridge for an hr or two in the back where it can get cool but not frozen, if it freezes it becomes mostly inert (worthless). Then clean the cut with proxide allow to dry and put a thick lair of aloe over the cut and around the edges. Be aware the aloe gel has a tendency to when it gets warm to kind of melt and run. so be sure you get it in the cut and keep the treated area flat so it don't go any where.
VARY IMPOTENT Don't cover the cut while you have the aloe on it that is not yet dry, You must wait tell its dry, it will make a thin Lair across the cut once dry and should lessen the pain for a few hours, it will also help your body fight any infections and or start to heal and seal the exposed area from the air.
FYI Aloe dose its best work while it going from the Gel State to the Dry state.

I Hope this info is helpful,

I would recommend going to your pharmacy and purchasing butterfly bandages.
Clean it with a MILD soap and water, rinse, pat dry with a clean towel, apply a Triple antibiotic ointment and apply a clean bandage once/day.
There is an amazing place called an Emergency Room, commonly called the ER.
There is a "window of opportunity" for stitching or a butterfly.
Nevertheless, you need an evaluation at an ER. not an "appointment with your physician".
Thanks everyone for the great suggestions! Unfortunately it is past the time for any kind of stitches or butterfly or steristrips. It has scanned over at the width it is.
Where would I find Aloe? I could certainly try that. I don't think it needs a trip to the ER, however I will go to a walkin clinic if it starts looking infected.
Thanks so much.
Just about any drugstore should have it, I would go to walgreens if you have one close they have it.
