from weight loss to weight gain

I started out on 2-25mg topamax a day and was losing weight my dr put me on just 1-50mg now and am gaining weight like crazy,is there a reason for this change that I should be aware or have checked

side effect of topamax is loosing weight.  should not cause gain at all.  you may want to look at other factors

topamax shouldnt cause you to gain weight at all i was on it for a while and  lost like 40 lbs never gained any of it back either you should talk to your dr about it

Hello, I agree with the other posts that topamax isn't likely the cause.  You might want to see about getting your doctor to check a Thyroid level, a Fasting Blood Sugar, and an A1C, on you because Hypothyroidism, or Diabetes very well could be the culprit.  I Hope This Helps!
