I am having exactly the same problem, and I am only 39! I am not just hot...I drip, it pours off my face. I went to my OB who did a ton of bloodwork and came up with nothing. I actually am happy when the weather is below zero, but even opening windows doesn't help me. I will follow this post as well for any answers!

You should also get your thyroid tested and make sure you are not anemic.  Basic labs also just to make sure everything is normal.  The thyroid often goes during or after menopause.

I went through the change and still had hot and cold.
The 'hot' isn't not just hot is it?  I read up and soy and black cohash were suggested.  I asked my doctor and he said try it.  It worked wonders for me.  To this day I drink a soy supplement.  Ask a professional first, chemistry has a lot to do with things, but these changed my life.  good luck to you
