May be the symptoms you got was just coincidental when you drank the alcohol and nothing to do with the alcohol at all.
Still would be a good idea to get checked out by the doctor.
Best wishes.
Hi Jemma,
I'm quite sure it was not alcohol poisoning, I had 2 drinks the entire evening and was not having the symptoms of alcohol poisoning. I thank you though for helping me figure out what it might be.
Hi Silverfox,
The drinks that I had was very simple drinks (gin and tonic). I'm quite sure that it was not allergy from the ingredients because I had this drink many times before. However, I thank you for your opinion and will try and see if there might be anything I'm allergic to in the alcohol.
Even a possibility to alcohol poisoning!
Not worth taking the risk again by drinking alcohol for any reason (:
Best wishes.
So sorry you have this problem.... It sounds to me like whatever you drank is something you are allergic to! Was it a Margarita? You might be allergic to grapefruit or citrus. If it was a beer, you might be allergic to the hops. If it was whiskey, it could be allergy to rye or corn.
Whatever it was, write down whatever you take into your body and see how you react to it. You might just be one of a few allergic to the alcohol itself.
Thank you Jemma for your reply. I forgot to mention that this time is the very first time I got these specific symptoms after drinking. Therefore, the post/question on MedHelp.
Your hands going tingling and numb is compression of the tendons and nerves in the carpal tunnel.
You need to see a doctor to refer you to have a nerve conduction test to know for sure how severe the condition is.
With all the symptoms that you are having after drinking, I would suggest that you do not drink alcohol. It appears that your body has an allergic reaction to it. When you see the doctor tell him about your symptoms so that he can check your lungs and heart just to be on the safe side to see if there is an underlying problem.
Stick to drinking water and soft drinks.
Best wishes
