Ummm, maybe get a second or even third opinion? I don't think it is normal to have anything in your appendix ... if you have pain that bad they should be removing it ... seriously, you can get all sorts of bad things happen with an appendix that goes bad. Also check to see what shape your gall bladder is in ... a lot of times it's the gall bladder giving the pain not the appendix. you can check this yourself by putting your hand on your stomach around the upper part of your stomach on the right side and tapping ... if you feel any pain what so ever you have a bad gall bladder. Do the same thing around the area of your appendix and again if there is pain then you know it's your appendix ... this doesn't make sense that a doctor can see something in your appendix but thinks it's okay to leave it or not worry that it is there. I'm not a medical professional but I think I would wonder about something like that even as a normal person!
To be honest with you, I would take all of my films, my reports and go and see somebody else . No doctor sends a patient away with "an object in their appendix" and in what seems to be quite obvious pain.
My friend was told her appendicitis was an ovarian cyst and while she was running around trying to get to her OB/GYN her appendix burst. She was at work thinking it was all an ovarian cyst and walking around with a bust appendix, also in a lot of pain...and this from an ER doc.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, then you need to find somebody who is not going to brush you off and figure out what the heck is going on because you are your own best advocate.
