scared to death!!!

please please someone tell me im okay!!! i fell asleep and i woke up out of no where maybe like 30 min later freakin out embarrassing myself...i ran out the room like crazy feeling like i couldnt breath like i was losing air or like someone was squeezing the heck out of my neck...running around yelling help i cant breath...i think i was really fine maybe i panic too much which made it worst...what could of been the problem? does anyone know? has anyone ever woke up with issues like this?? im fine now. i went outside for fresh air and drank some water. now im just scared to go back to sleep.

You should probably post in the ANXIETY forum as well.  Sounds like you have anxiety/panic issues.

sounds like a panic attack. probably something you were dreaming about hit home too much. doubt you will have it again. also look at what you ate, drank and watched on tv etc

Yes, this was definily a Panic attack. I've been suffering with them for 18 years. I felt the same way when I got my first attack. You have to go see a psyciatrist. There are many medications for this problem. The doctor can find one that will work for you. Dont worry, more people than you realize suffer from this. I know you feel "crazy" or alone in this, but there are millions suffering from this. If you want more information on this, Google Panic attacks or anxiety disorder. Make that appointment with your doctor. Know this tho... This frieghtened feeling is only in your head. Its a "real" condition, but it will NOT kill you. No one has ever died from Panic disorder. I promise! I've done 18 years of research on this condition. Good luck with this.
