Shortness of breath and yawning

I have been having shortness of breath and excessive yawning for the past week, could this be a sign of a possible heart attack?  What steps should I take if any?

I've always had a little problem with catching my breath but here lately it's been horrible. I've been gasping for breath and yawning excessively. It's becoming extremely frustrating and worrysome because half the time I have to really concentrate on my yawn and strive to experience a successful breath. It feels like I just can't catch up. I'm 21 years old and only 123 pounds. The other day at work my boss sent me home because I had so much trouble breathing and kept running to the window to try to have some fresh air. I went to my family physician who then sent me to the hospital for CT and CTA scans on my lungs. I'm waiting for the results on those but I feel like there's something lying on my chest and it's so uncomfortable. Please help! I have been on depression meds in the past and I am prone to have anxiety and be on edge but these symptoms happen when i'm not feeling anxiety ridden so I just don't understand.

I will agree with SassyLassie that this could be anxiety-related; Hyperventilation Syndrome possibly.

Do you have any other symptoms?

This could be a form of anxiety, have you been under any extra stress lately?
If the condition persists or gets worse, a visit to your physician might be a wise choice.
