I went for my level II ultrasound and found out that my baby has an echogenic focus and choroid plexus cysts. I have read that these soft markers increase the chance of down syndrome. Can someone who has had the same type of findings let me know the outcome and health of their baby?
My bloodwork gave me chances of 1/10000….now that the ultrasound found those 2 markers, my chances are 1/5000.
I have been so overwhelmed with emotion since the ultrasound. It would really help to know that there is still a chance my baby will be fine.
I am 28 weeks pregnant with twins, one of which has an echogenic bowel which is the only ds marker we've discovered on ultrasound. My earlier bloodwork/combined screening gave me 1/15,000 chance for downs.
My situation/findings are a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys different from yours but I just wanted you to know that I can relate and I know how scary all this is. Leave me a note if you want to talk!

Those are very good numbers we have, so I wouldn't get too upset just yet. Are you doing an amnio? My dr. isn't suggesting one, besides it's a little too late for me to have one and the risks associated with amnio are a little higher with twins.
We're also having a cystic fibrosis screening done on me and my hubby, as this could be related to that as well. We actually just found out that I am a carrier for CF, and we're waiting on my husband's bloodtest to come back. ~~~nervous~~~
