this, my dear, is a fine example on how the mind can effect your health.  you are as negative as negative can be, but you are allowed to test out until the end of time if that will ease your mind.

Symptoms can be due to so many things, like the flu.  Please read my post entitled "Guilty Feelings vs Protected Sex Facts"

Is it true that if you have HIV that a test 2-3 weeks after "HIV related" symptoms start, it will test positive?  Someone made the statement that once symptoms start (if they are actually indicative of HIV not one of many other things it could be) that a positive test will result in 3 weeks.

Most people that will test POSITIVE will so by six weeks some will test later. A conclusive negative result is 13 week post possible infection.

Most does not equal all.  Most is not a number.

Correct, I was sure I made myself clear. You just confirmed it.

Finally you admit that "Most" people will test positive by 6 weeks.

What I posted is way different than saying. A negative at 4-6 weeks is conclusive. If you would have read what I said I haven't changed a thing. People still have to test out to 3 months to get a conclusive result. I didn't admit anything any different. MOST does not mean ALL.

I didn't say you said 6 weeks was conclusive. I said finally you admit that in 6 weeks most people will test positive. (Most being 99% of people in the world)

I know you can't back up that number now can you?

conclusive result would be:
1)  test after 3 months, test after 6 months
2)  abstain from risk during the whole time

So where does boken go from here (neg after 13 wks) but still has weird symptoms?  Does he have something else?  This is where I am; yesterday was 11 wks - neg test at 10wks, waiting for 13 wk test week after next.  99% has been tossed around as test positive by 13 wks but 1% of world population is a large number.

1. you test at 3 months to get a conclusive result
2. abstain or you use a condom while waiting on your conclusive result. Then always use a condom if you are not in a monogamist relationship.

Sure I can back it up ...DR H  has said it a million times.

Dr. H has never made that statement.

I've never heard 6 wks is conclusive and most likely 3 months is not absolutely conclusive either.
