3 vs 6 months

Hello to all,
I just had a quick question. I was on the phone with the CDC and they claim that 3 months is 97% conclusive, and that you should always get tested again at 6 months. I mean why would someone take 6 months? I thought 3 months is done and over with? I would appreciate your kind response.

No you did not hear that from the CDC. I use the training manuals from the CDC and 3 months is conclusive. It's been 3 months since 2004.
