Abbott Early Detect Rapid HIV test accuracy + my possible risk

53 days ago I received blowjob unprotected from rough girl with bad hygiene....

Since then I have had some cold symptoms like sore throat which went away then came back (is gone again now) and what I THINK are swollen lymph nodes but I can't feel anything substantial in the areas, just a general tightness.

at 38 days, 48 days and 53 days (today), I went to clinic and had the Abbott Early Detect Rapid HIV test (finger prick)

Each time they confirmed results in 20 mins and was negative for both antigen and antibody

How reliable are these results? I read mixed reports. The manufacturer claims 99.8% after 28 days but I thought that was only the lab test?

What do you think my risk is for HIV?

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected (no condom) penetrative anal or vaginal sex, OR
2) Sharing IV drug equipment with other IV drug users.

As you can see, receiving oral sex is not on this list.  No one has EVER been infected with HIV from receiving oral sex, and you will not be the first.

Also, hygiene is not indicative of whether someone has a disease or not.

Thanks - her oral hygiene wasn't the best is what I meant - do you think the tests i have done are enough to rule HIV out?
You didn't need any tests.  HIV is automatically ruled out by the fact that you can't get HIV from receiving oral sex.
Well I get my Duo results tomorrow which are more reliable than rapid so will update then... but thanks for the reassurance. Will revert tomorrow.
We can't make it any simpler. >"You didn't need any tests."
No one needs to be updated even if you had a risk - which you didn't. This is not a treatment center or a place for your placebo test results.
Ok apologies
