HIV test at 6 weeks? Is it conclusive?

How conclusive is a 6 week HIV test where they draw blood and examine it at the lab? Also know as an ELISA test? I have been experiencing pins and needles in my hands (mainly my right hand which also gets quite painful) and my feet. My throat feels like it is full of mucous. I am  afraid that perhaps the test did not detect the HIV virus, is this possible?

I'm sure there has been. But rarely.  And that does not apply to you because you had no legitimate risk.

Thank you I appreciated your help.  Has there ever been a case where a negative result at 6 weeks changes to positive?

You did not need PEP. I see no real risk for the above. Your 6 week test is not going to change.

I had an incident where a guy tried to insert his penis into my vagina. He didn't succeed because I am a virgin and it was far to tight he tried a few times and when he got inside just a little bit i would tell him to stop because it hurt. He tried it in my anus too but that didn't work either. He eventually just rubbed his penis on my vagina and he came near my vagina but not in it. I don't know him and I was nervous so I went to the doctor and I was put on PEP about 68hrs after the incident happened. I finished my treatment  and  went for a test and like I said it came back negative after 6 weeks. But this pins and needles is freaking me out
