Advice

Hey everyone,

I had sex with a CSW at an Australian brothel, I used a condom but I had a small shaving cut at the base of my penis. I took a HIV DUO test after 17 days and I have been informed the are quite accurate, is this correct and do I need re testing?

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

I've been informed my negative test at 17 days is highly reliably but will be retesting

You never had an exposure and don't need testing.

Thanks teak. Just to get my facts straight, once vaginal fluids are outside the vagina, even if they are on the vaginal lips, HIV is not infectious due to environmental changes correct?
