Difference between HIV-1 and HIV-2?
What exactly is the difference between HIV-1 and HIV-2? Is the treatment for HIV-2 similar / as effective as the treatment for HIV-1? Who is at risk for getting HIV-2? Are there any tests that can detect HIV-2?
Yes, I understand. I am not asking this because I believe that I am at risk, I am asking this out of sheer curiosity. I'm a bit baffled that there is hardly any information on the internet regarding the window period for HIV-2 or treatment. Do you know any of the questions?
