I'm suffering some anxiety (as I am prone to do) over a recent encounter in which I fingered a woman of unknown HIV-status. There was no other activity, no active bleeding, etc. Just clitoral stimulation with occasional finger penetration, and nothing more than a bit of dried skin/small hangnail on any of my fingers. Now, I'm aware that this is a negligible risk situation. However, my OCD can occasionally lead me to search obsessively for reassurance, which led me to this thread:
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV---Prevention/Fingering-Frottage-Potential-Penetration-during-menstruation/show/2003141
By a user named Whyme0831 who swears up and down that he contracted HIV with his only risk being cuts on his fingers and "possible" brief penetration.
I would love to get others' opinions on this exchange between "Whyme0831" and Dr. Hook. Is this person a troll? Are there actually people who come here and make things up to get off? Or is that guy actually correct in that maybe this is a real mode of transmission that is generally lost in the noise of other activities?
Would love to get some other opinions, as it was very unnerving to stumble across.
Thanks
