Frottage and 3rd Generation Insti-Test: Conflicting Information From STD Clinic

Hello,

Two questions:

1 - I'm a male who had protected sex (always play it safe) with long term female partner 25 days ago. I had pulled out, and the condom had come off. She was easily able to retrieve it and I'm assuming that it slid off during withdrawal. She (like myself) has always tested negative for all STD's in the past. Because I'm a bit freaked out by question #2 below, I just had a 3rd generation inst-test that came out negative (again at 25 days). I've read on other forums that the accuracy at 25 days should generally be in excess off 80%+, however the nurse said that at this point it would be less than 50% accurate in my case.

•Is this the case (at 25 days test being under 25% accurate)?

2 - Four days ago I was getting a massage at a very nice (hotel) spa in Las Vegas. I was on my front and felt what I had thought was a finger slide over (but NOT into) my but crack. Zero contact with anus. I flipped over and was close to asleep when I felt the therapist get on the table, and then felt her lay down on top of me. It took me perhaps 20 seconds to react and I politely asked "her" to stop. When she got off I was a bit freaked out to see that she had a tiny penis (!). She said that she was healthy, that I had nothing to worry about and showed me that there were no visible lesions, blisters, etc. on her penis, groin, etc. (I have however read about asymptomatic shedding). What is completely freaking me out, is that the same nurse as above indicated that what amounted to brief penis to penis frottage is still a small risk for HIV transmission. Again, there was zero oral, no penetration whatsoever. This has got me completely freaked out.

•Could I have contracted HIV from the above? What is likelihood of having contracted other STD's as well?

Condom falling off during withdrawal is no risk.  I assume that's your first question.

Your second event is also no risk.  Not sure why the nurse told you it was, but contracting HIV sexually REQUIRES penetration - no outside-the-body contact is any risk.  Not sure what the shedding comment references, but HIV does not "shed."

Therefore, you had no reason at all to test for HIV.   If you had had a reason to test, 28 days with a 4th generation test would be conclusive.  But nothing you have mentioned is a risk for HIV.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Nurse was adamant that the second event was a risk (however "slight") for HIV. "The Body" also has physician posts that seem to agree with the above? Sorry for any confusion - I referenced shedding in regard to HSV, HPV still being possible risks for this situation.

Any idea how accurate the 3rd generation test would be at 25 days (and I will still wait until another (Rapid) text at 4-6 weeks before resuming any (still protected) sex.

Thanks!
Sorry - am believe it or not a grown adult, but having a nurse emphatically tell you that the above were both risks for HIV is a bit unnerving. Any additional insight per the above would be very much appreciated!
