Thank you Lizzie and getitrigjht77 for a quick answer. Even though fluid from his hand got on the phone, which instantly I held and got on my hand (that I didn't stupidly wash), there is zero risk? For my knowledge, can the HIV virus not survive even a second once exposed to air, e.g., hand and then phone in this case? Thanks bunch!
Hiv is not transmitted via fomites like phones or door handles, etc, also the hiv virus becomes inactive once exposed to air and therefore is unable to infect you. This was a zero risk situation for hiv transmission.
hiv is not transmitted through environmenta surfaces or inanimate objects due to the fact that it becomes inactive once exposed to the elements.
