HELP. IT JUST GETS WORSE AND WORSE...

As I recently posted, I am a 19 year old female who had unprotected sex with a guy while on vacation in Trinidad on May 9th, 2009. November 23rd, 2009 I went to Planned Parenthood and got an OraQuick fingerprick ; the result negative. For some strange reason I still havent been able to eat AT ALL, without spitting the food out and I am constantly going to the bathroom to produce slight diarreah. I have been fatigued like never before in my life, and to make matters worse...I called the guy from Trinidad to ask him some things and he told me he has no idea if he has HIV...he hasnt been tested in a while, and that I should get tested. TEARS...when I told him I did, he's like oh you SHOULD be fine....but now I am even more alarmed! Did I test too soon? Is it possible the finger prick missed my antibodies...had they even developed yet? I simply cant take much more of this, then I also find out that the family I was staying with while over there were all infected. I just wish I NEVER went on vacation....i feel like I'm dying. I literally havent eaten anything. I am on my way to a different planned parenthood now, to test again. Even tho it's only been a week since my last test. I cant take this. HAS THERE EVER BEEN A CASE OF ANTIBODIES TAKING LONGER THAN 6 MONTHS TO DEVELOP? I AM LOSING MY MIND.....PLEASE HELP

dont you think i want to accept them?  its two negative rapids and a non-reactive ELISA...at almost 7 months post exposure...how could i not accept them right? thats the way youre looking at it.  i would love to accept them...and i WOULD were it not for my highly questionable circumstances..... .but all of those are simply antibody tests...not even fourth generation antibody tests, and in persons with compromised immune systems the results mayn't mean negative is truly negative. those individuals have to take rna tests...

my problem is not that i cant accept the negative...rather, i just want to be sure that I am not positive. because if i am...and just undetectable at the moment...the more time that passes without me getting the proper treatment the worse it will be for me. if i have hiv i want to get treated as soon as possible...rather than later. understand that i'm just trying to take care of myself in that aspect...

You don't have an HIV concern. Your problem is not accepting your negative results. Not one but two negative results.

Teak...I am sorry...why am i sensing some hostility...if i was to have asked in another forum about why my doctor may have sent me for an RNA even after 3 negatives thus far...they would have told me to post here, as they are HIV related concerns and questions.  i was only looking for advice from people who actually know what they're talking about...and never meant to cause any aggravation to you. i just want an answer....how can you be so sure i dont have HIV simply because ive tested negative on antibody tests, especially now after learning of my probable immune deficiency and herpes ...? it really so truly impossible to you?

this forum is crazy.  JIMinNY...did you not just post a question about a non-risk situation...and now youre trying to advise me? i had a considerably high risk....unprotected sex with a male...in third world country....with the possibility that i may have had herpes at the time. not to mention i have lost 11 lbs in less than a month, have literally no vitamin D...and herpes...i would understand teak and the others getting aggravated at people who have had no risks whatsoever...but since i HAD a risk...as well as now substantial reason to believe my antibody tests could be irrelevant....i dont understand why i cant get any indepth explanation as to why none of this may have played a part in false negative testing...

maybe i need to pay to ask the doctor now...

The loose bowel movements and loss of appetite is probably due to anxiety and nerves unless you have a stomach virus.... Wouldn't worry about that because it's also explain why you're feeling weak.

Then go post it in the correct forum. You don't have HIV.

but i wasn't posting about my "conclusive" negatives. i was simply inquiring for opinions on why my doctor sent me to get an RNA...and asking if vitamin d deficiency had anything to do with weak immune systems (thus causing antibodies to show up late)....that was all. i dont understand why the post got deleted as it posed plausible questions...but alright.

You don't need further testing and they gave you incorrect information.

But I just came from planned parenthood and they told me I should get blood work done to screen for the actual virus rather than just the antibodies since I have good insurance. I am so ******* confused. Is she saying the oraquick isn't reliable after all?

You tested well past the 3 month conclusive period...you are negative. No if's and's or but's about it. If you can not accept it then a therapist might be able to help you out. But again you are negative.

Make sure to use condoms all of the time.
