HIV RESULTS

Hello,

My last sexual encounter with a potential risky individual was on November 21, 2009. I got an HIV test on January 17, 2010; which is exactly 8 weeks after my last contact. How accurate are these results and should I be getting another test?

Hi Teak,

Ive noticed that you have a lot of knowledge on HIV. Do you know how conclusive 8 week results are over 12 weeks?

Thank you

experts believe testing at 6-8 weeks post exposure will give a fair indication of your status
its most unlikely that your result will change
test at 3 months for a conclusive result
be safe
