HIV Test - DUO or NAAT

Greetings, out of disclosure I did post a question on oral sex that was answered by one of the Doctors on here. My encounter was that I received (I'm male) oral sex from female. I tested rapid oralquick at 35 days negative. The counselor that administered the test that if I got a NAAT test at 6 weeks and it came back negative that is conclusive evidence. So my question is, what is the difference between NAAT and DUO? When are those tests conclusive, if they are at all? You guys are great on here, keep up the good work!

Kind of weird experience with follow up test. Went to provider and received oraquick oral test at ~55 days and it came back negative. Technician said window period was 6 months and claimed he had worked in the field for ten years and knew what he was talking about, then doctor said it was 3 months. The docs on here say antibody test between 6-8 weeks is conclusive. Why are there so many different trains of thought on this. What are your guys views on the window period?

You don't need either of the tests but counseling. Oral is no risk and doesn't warrant testing.

Test types are not a concern for you, You were never at risk from receiving a blow job.  Your test at 35 days proves you were not infected from this

No further testing needed
