HIV Test Conclusive?

Hi,

Is a negative HIV test result conclusive at 13 weeks? I'm confused because I hear some people say 3 months and some say 6 months is conclusive.

Thanks.

Ok, so older tests might have taken that long to seroconvert but today's modern tests don't take that long. Am I in the ball park as to the reason why?

You would have to ask them why they are using old info.

A test done any time after 12 weeks is conclusive.
