HIV question

I read here that sexually speaking HIV requires penetration into vagina or anus.

Non sexually it syringes and mother to child.

My question, what is direct vs indirect contact. People say you can't get STD with protection. But I have gotten an STD even with protection. (I have never had sex vaginally or anally  without condom). So what makes HIV so special that you need penetrative sex. Why can't you get it through rubbing of fluids in tip, while you can get other stds.

You cannot catch HIV through protected sex. STD questions belong in the STD forum.

Yeah I know if you use condoms that is protection against. But what I am saying also is that you could get other stds. What makes HIV so different, literally was playing with fire. I read here that other people have gotten fluids inside, but because fluids were outside of body, even for a few seconds, it is no risk. But you could get other disease, but why not Hiv. It seems that HIV should be able to adjust to eviroment hence it should still be active.

There's also other stds can be infected by penetration... Not only hiv.. But I am no expert here... Experts only ***** your risk and testing here... And what they will answer to you is there's no risk for hiv for protected sex...

No I got for real. Don't get me wrong I could have them while cleaning myself, but why is HIV so different. Specially if the inside of the tip of penis rubbed with fluids. You can't get other STD but how about HIV.
