NEEDLE QUESTIONS

Why do you guys post about something of such a concern? You should always ask the nurse thats taking blood from you all of these questions.NEVER be scared to do that and by the way for your info no one is going to use a dirty needle in the medical field .

Ive never even bothered to watch the needle at all ever. Thought never even crossed my mind, and I am a naturally anxious person too.

The last time I went for a blood test I didnt saw netheir I care, becouse I now the use new neddles, over here some people even take their own syringes and neddles for the blood test, but the nurses tell them that they have to use new ones. and to throw the other ones in an special container

I have to say everytime I have had my blood drawn .I have seen them pulling the needle out of a sealed package . I have lived in many diffrent places it has always been the same.

Yes the medical field does not use dirty needles but if you know you are the kind of person that will worry about a dirty needle (OCD, anxiety, hypochondria) then be sure to ask the nurse to actually let you see the needle being opened up from the fresh package. That way you wont be here after your negative HIV result asking if the needle could have infected you.
