HCV-HIV... affraid...

Hello, I've had a risky relationship little more than 3 months ago and 3 months later i had an hiv test which resulted negative. I did that because i feel a little ill. I have white patches on my tongue, i have mild pain in my armpits and around my body. Today, about 100 days after that relationship i took a blood test a PCR and a xr of my chest. There was nothing unusual in all these tests. I was wondering if the PCR or blood would show any presence of the HCV. Because my fear is that I have encountered both HCV and HIV. I have been having the symptoms i described above for the last 2 months or so and this worries me a little.

I have to say that those mentioned above are not the only aches and discomforts i've been having. I'm fearing to have contracted both these deseases in only i sexual intercorse where no blood was present.

My risky relationship was homosexual and included unprotected oral sex with ejaculation and protected anal sex. The partner seamed in good health and a little over-weight. Also he told me he wasn't hiv+ and that he has been tested regularely because he also was affraid of the virus.

i know everybody keeps telling me that i had no risk...

my problem is that I have these aches i'm experiencing but probablbly it's all psychological or something...

you had NO risk for hiv.

hiv is not transmitted through oral sex and your intercourse was protected.

your test at 3 months proves that you were not infected.

this forum is hiv specific..any questions regarding hcv should be addressed on the appropriate forum
