Want to beleive result

I am trying to move forward. Regardless of my weight loss, abdominal pain, nausea extra I want to move on and believe I am HIV negative. I had a 90 day point of care negative result but have just been diagnosed by my doctor with shingles{ located on my behind } In addition I am developing a large redish, purple blotch on my thigh that is getting bigger and not going away. It is more red than a typical bruise. I am afraid this could be Kaposi Sarcoma. What should I do, as I want to believe in my result but had so many troubling symptoms with my body over the past rheee months?

shingles/blotches if present, are late stages of HIV.  your HIV test more than likely tested for HIV 1/O/2 , both O/2 are rare.

Hey there Mark,

I can understand completely where you are coming from I had an exposure about 2 months back and I started feeling ill couldn't eat and a sore throat swollen left tonsil and weight loss (about 7-8 lbs) but I worked a very very physical job. My friend let me tell you that hearing you are negative after 90 days is really great news and you should know for a fact that you don't have HIV. When my 2 weeks is up and i go test again and hopefully receive a negative result. I'm taking the next step to go get myself examined and I think thats what you need to be focused on right now instead of HIV. It can be something minor that can be gone with some med, also keep faith in God because he will watch over you and see you through hard times.

Stay strong and God bless you.
