Sharing a razor a risk for hiv??

I recently accidentally used the wrong razor to shave my pubic area with, that belonged to a girl that I rent a room to in my house. I used it 24 hrs after she did, and I did not cut myself. Three days later I got a rash that was diagnosed as an infection of the hair follicles. Im not even sure if it is related to using her razor but ive never had an infection like that before. my question is "Am I at risk of hiv from using her razor???? Im scared

The virus can't survive in the environment, it needs a DNA surface to stay alive. Hence, the whole razor and HIV association scare is a myth. You had no risk. Read about HIV and it's transmission and move on. Also, make sure the next time you use your own razor and not other people's. Especially ladies razor, they're not meant to be for guys and it's not good to be a miser either.
