3 months post exposure testing is all you need to receive a conclusive test result.
Are you sure? I havent seen any other post with these kinds of symptoms, nothing as acurate as, so a test at 3 months and its 100% sure?
Yes I'm 100% positive. Those that may need to test longer are patients on chemo, anti-rejection drugs for an organ transplant or chronic IV drug abusers and you don't fall into one of those categories.
Now in such an extreme case would you recommend a standard rapid antibody or a different kind of more sensitive blood test?
Any HIV test will do at 3 months.
Get tested put this behind you.
Some say 3 months some suggest 6, since this is an overwhelming case Iam wondering why there is there different dates?
The CDC says 3 months. And just about most Drs. say 3 months.
Yesterday I got a sore throat and rash, since ARS is the bodys reaction to producing antibodys do you think my other symptoms were just the virus presenting itself in my body and I am seroconvertiung now?
You are not having ARS symptoms now, when your exposure was in December.
Get tested and be done with it.That,s the only way you are going to get closure.Only a test is going to give you the answer you seek
What generation is an Oraquick advanced rapid 1/2 test?
You are WAY overthinking this. If you need other (non HIV) labwork...do you research what KINDS of lab studies the lab does, and go in requesting a certain kind of test? No.
Go to a clinic, family planning, or your PCP and request an HIV test, they will order the appropriate test, and it will be conclusive at this point.
