My risk of getting affected by HIV!!!

Dear Dr. HHH

I stay at Vancouver and currently I am in good condition. I made a big mistake a year back. I met a shemale escort and had receptive anal sex for less than 20s (I am ashamed of that) . I cannot remember if it was protected or unprotected (I believe it was, but not 100% sure). I was clean and not have any idea about her. She didnot come in me, infact she didnot come at all. I never had anal sex before, infact I never had a unprotected sex before. That was my first exposure and for sure I will never do anything bad like that. After a year I am still feeling fine with no flu or other symptoms. However, recently, I read about all HIV things (especially the high risk of receptive anal course) and really scared for my life. I went for my blood test recently and waiting for my results (the worst days in my life). Please help with your view on the risk factor. Thanking you in advance.

Regards,
gtshubha

Thank you mate, I got my result today and it was negative and it's after 1 year. Therefore, i think, it's conclusive. Thank you for your nice words. All the best to you.

I never had anal sex, anyway, it's a bad mistake. I believe that she had used a condom, but recollect properly.

Im sure you are fine, a one time exposure probably wont result in transmission. Try to relax while you wait for results. Always make sure you use protection, especially in receptive anal.
