Should I take PEP??? I'm freaking out

I just unprotected sex with someone that i have known for only a short time. We had unprotected anal sex.  He did not ejaculate in me at climax and we talked about histories and we are both clean.  I know i'm clean but I dont know about him...  But I know he had been with multiple partners before me.  He said he is clean but i'm just worried.  What should I do

To clarify Viki's post above...

IF you do take nPEP, your conclusive test result will be 3 months after your LAST DOSE of nPEP.

As the nurse girl said " nPEP is usually reserved for a real risk with a KNOWN positive partner.  However, you can go to your nearest ER for an evaluation.  nPEP must be started within 72 hours of exposure to be most effective" and do not forget to go for antibody test 3 month post exposure. Good luck

As you probably know unprotected anal sex is the highest risk sexually. the fact he told you he was disease free is a plus. it was only once and there was no ejaculation. Those are all pluses. Im not sure about specific PEP guidelines. However Teak and other veterans do. As for testing you can have a Combo test at 28 days after your exposure for the earliest accurate result. However only an antibody test at 12 weeks or more is conclusive. Try not to panic and dont be to hard on yourself.
