My friend is so worried regarding the HIV test result. the doctor told her  its not HIV but thesame strain of virus shes so confused if she really got HIV and why shes taking the medication if the finding is not HIV shes taking this kaletra and trovada and this medication affecting her entire body system for the past 5 years now. She wants to know if the diagnosed is right or she needs to re test again? Please she need a good advice to what to do.

Tell your friend that if she had the test result beyond 3 months post-exposure, she conclusively doesn't have HIV.

Possible HIV exposure only includes unprotected vaginal or anal sex (but NOT oral sex), sharing drug works, or from mother to child. Otherwise no chance.
