HIV concerns

Hi there,

I just had my first anal sex tonight at a gay sauna but I later realized the condom broke. There was still cum in my anus after I went home and there was blood. I know it's really my fault but I didn't ask whether my partner was HIV negative or not... Could anyone tell me what are the chances of me getting HIV?

Thank you very much.

Thanks for everyone's reply. I just got my prescription of PEP from my doctor. According to my understanding, PEP is highly effective right?

GO to your specialist doctor (take day off or whatever) and seek their professional advise... don't waste 72 hrs (after exposure) online....you can then check whatever you want later....

Only a qualified doctor can recommend PEP for you after detailed assessment of your risk. Your protection failed during penetration, therefore your risk exists. Suggest you to seek professional medical help within the maximum window period of 72 hours.
There are odds in your favor, like the health status of your partner is unknown, so there is a possibility that he may not be a positive. However, the risk is significant  but we can not tell you exactly that what are your chances.
