Can you be too far out the window period to test positive?

I understand that there is a window period regarding taking a test too early, but is there an end point to the window period. In other words, is it ever too late to test? My first test was 6 months post exposure and after reading stuff regarding the window period, i saw that the 6 months has changed to 3 months. I also read that sometimes its too late to test for HIV in regards to the p24 test ( I am not really familiar with that test). I believe all mine were antibody tests and a western blot ( I don't know what the WB looks for).

Thanks nursegirl. I am going to get help. It's harder when youve been hit with a positive test. I'm trying to accept that I do infact have a problem, but before doing that, I needed to make sure that HIV wasn't my problem.

We've advised you on several forums to get some professional help.  It's up to you if want to move on or keep dwelling on this forever.  You just keep manufacturing new "what if" questions.  We've told you your tests prove you don't have HIV, therefore there are no more HIV questions that would apply to you.

I know it's not healthy I just wanted to know if such a thing was possible, that's all. I saw it was possible with the antigen test so it made me wonder if the antibody tests worked the same way. I am not familiar with how tests are worked, so I thought maybe you all would know. Thank you chook for actually answering the question

No. There is no such thing as testing to late by meaning if you waited lets say a year rather than three months. If you contracted hiv you will always test positive . Doesnt matter if you tested at three months or 10 years. If you have hiv and have tested positive with a confirmed test you will always test positive

It's time to move on from this. We can't provide anymore help then what we have done. Your obsession is not healthly and should seek a therapist.
