Male 2 Male sexual encounter...NEED HELP. Very Worried

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this board, but while surfing the net, I saw this website where users are able to get quick feedback with logical and meaningful answers regarding various health issues.

I don't know if I'm posting this message here correctly, but because my concern is also related to HIV, I am putting my queries here as well.  I hope you won't mind.

I just had a very horrible sexual encounter which involved male2male activities. This all includes (Me) receiving Heavy Analingus, receiving protected intercourse, and giving deep throat oral sex.

I would like to know what are the risks of HIV and Many other STDs out there for me?  I'm nervous wreck right now...it's only been few hours and I'm suffering from major guilt trip.

Does receiving heavy analingus create more issues for me?  How much should I be worried because of this?  Also, I'm also scared that I participated with deep throating during giving oral sex.  Does this mean more trouble?
Above all, the guy ejaculated in my rectum, but I'm not sure if the condom broke because of heavy penetration, it was impossible to feel it.

Any Detailed Answers to my question will be so much appreciated.  I'm extremely scared right now, and I don't know what's going to happen to me.  The more answers I get, the better I will understand in my situation.

Please help everyone. Thanks for reading.

You have no reason to take an HIV test.

Question -

It's been a month now. If I were to get tested now, will it give me at least 90% confirmation of my final outcome for HIV, HSV, and other STDs?

Please help.

I think your last response makes sense now.  Yeah, I definitely did not notice any semen on my anus for sure, and I made sure to clearly check for signs rubbing my fingers near it to see if it was there, but couldn't locate it.  There was just so much lube used, but even then it's simple enough to know that semen texture and smell is different.  So I guess that's to my advantage that I didn't notice this.

I did see some questions and answers at Doctor's forum on this site, and yeah I can agree that this is probably no risk or very tiny risk if at all for the experience I described with unprotected penetration portion.

Thanks so much

1) B/c you cannot be sure whether he penetrated you without a condom, you should probably be tested. If you read the Dr.'s forum I think you will agree that this is virtually no risk, but due to your uncertainty re: unprotected penetration, it's probably best to test for your mind's sake.

2) With the balloon analogy I did not mean to suggest that there would be an audible "pop", only that the condom would look like a burst balloon (i.e. not some small tear that fluid could leak through while leaving the condom looking like it was in tact, but rather a gaping tear leaving the penis obviously exposed). It would be obvious from looking at it if it broke, and again there would likely be semen in your anus, which you would also notice.

Interesting replies.  Thanks for replying to this all of you.  appreciate it.

"At anytime was his penis (i.e. the head or more) inside you anus without a condom? Or was he just rubbing it around your anus on the outside and then put on a condom for penetration."

The thing here was that I remember his penis slightly inside my anus for maybe a min. but I could hardly feel the push because it wasn't really deep inside.  He then pulled out after that one min. and then rubbed outside my anus.  It was at this stage I urged for him to use a condom.  It's just a matter of figuring out if this moment was actually a risk at all, or it is something so insignificant that I should not even be worried about.

The whole explanation on condom popping like a balloon does ease my mind a bit because that surely did not happen since I did not hear any bang-like noise or semen coming out later on

Sweetprince,

Reading through this thread I think there's some confusion in your explanation which is why you're getting different answers, so let me try to straighten it out. Forget the deep/non-deep stuff.

At anytime was his penis (i.e. the head or more) inside you anus without a condom? Or was he just rubbing it around your anus on the outside and then put on a condom for penetration. If any portion was inside unprotected, then you have a risk and will need to be tested at 3 mon for conclusive. If not then there was no risk.

Regarding his ejaculation, you would know if the condom broke first b/c they don't tear a little, they explode like a water ballon- you would know. Second, since he ejaculated, if it had broke you would have semen in your anus, which would leak out during the hours afterword, and you would definitely know that. So no, the condom did not break.

Hello Teak,

I think you really like to play with words, huh.
"You never had penetrative sex."

I did mention that I had intense, heavy sex in my original post.  I'm just confused as to if it makes a difference if penis which was penetrating me before he put on condom, actually suggest the risk on this board.  I'm not sure to what extent the risk factor is at play in my situation but it is of great concern to me.  Yes, I know, mistake is done, but I can't do anything about it now other than try to get best understanding of all this.  This is why I came to this forum in the first place.

have a question though -

does it matter that I had unprotected receptive penetration around my anus before I requested condom to be used, but not fully or deep inside?  I'm just confused because some say that it poses risks, then I read that it doesn't...

HI , to answer your questions, this is factual and you should stop worrying, worrying now wont help your situation and only an hiv test at the appropriate times will quell your fears:
1. No pain, cold medications will affect the validity of an HIV test: NONE
2. NO antibiotics will affect the validity of an HIV test: NONE
3. ARS symptoms usually appear within 2-3 weeks after a potential exposure and include a FEVER, RASH, SORE THROAT, amongst others, if you have a cold/cough without the presence of a high fever, you can rest assured that the symptoms you are experiencing are not due to HIV ARS symptoms.

Thanks for the responses.  I have more follow up questions, and instead of creating new threads, I want to continue to keep this under one to keep things cleaner.

My encounter was last Wednesday and I have now developed Cold and sore throat which is not going away.  My question is:

1. If I take any medication like pain reliever or cold/ Cough meds, will it give me false negative or false positive when I do test?
2. Does taking any other antibiotics intefere with the final test results?
3. And lastly, is it true that systems appear within a week like Cold and Cough?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.  I'm still unable to sleep, and it's difficult for me to explain this well.

Most Stds should show up after a couple of weeks I believe. The standard antibody test at 3 mths is the only diagnostic tool to conclusively give you an answer, however there are other tests that can detect HIV virus as opposed to the antibodies. One is the antigen test which will only show up early in infection so if its been a month or longer, you might as well stick to the antibody test. Then theres the PCR DNA, however it is not used for diagnostic purposes , its not approved for that use anyway, it can possibly show if you are infected. This will be positive much sooner than antibody test, however it is not recommended by most doctors becasue of the reason stated above and because of its high false positive rate. NO matter what the result is you will have to wait for a 3 mth antibody test to be conclusivley diagnosed. Just imagine how it would suck if you were a false positve having to wait ....that would be worse. I would recommend getting your 1 mth test done, it will be a good indicator, the average days to detect antibodies is 25 days according to CDC. That might set your mind at ease until the 3 mth mark.TRy not to worry.

I'm so scared...Is there Any Way I can get testing done for All of the STDs etc sooner????

I'm not able to sleep and now I have a sore throat which is not helping the cause.  Can anyone develop systems within days of encounter such as mine?  I don't know if it is just the weather and my anxiety causing me such distress, but I can't begin to tell you how I am feeling right now

Anilingus is not very risky for HIV but it is for other STDS and possbily UTI's. Other Stds will show up much sooner than HIV antibodies, I am not sure of the windows, check on the other forum. Always use protection in any sexual act .

STD questions are to be asked in the HIV forum, which I have already answered.

You can test for the STD's which I told you about earlier. You never mentioned in the STD forum that you were penitrated without a condom.

Thanks for all the responses.  I guess from the answers I'm getting, getting tested at 1 month mark would be a good indication with a 3rd month follow-up, if I am not mistaken.

Would you all be kind enough to shed some light on other STD risk factors for me? :-(
Is receiving rimming job for a while risky?  What about giving deep throat?
Can I get tested for other STDs before HIV Window time?

There are no tests that will get you out of the 3 month waiting period for a conclusive negative result.

Its understandable to be afraid. While you are in a high risk group , the good news is you did use a condom before heavy penetration began. The oral sex really doesn't pose a risk, but the anal does depending on what really happened with condom situation. I don't want to worry you anymore than are, while you are probably fine. It it were me I would get a test at 1 mth which will be a good sign if Neg and then at 3 month to be sure. Always be safe and I know its hard to wait, you can request a DUO p24/ antibody test at 4 weeks that will be very accurate if you don't want to wait 3 mths. Good luck , try not to worry!

hi Lanvin,

There was unprotected penetration prior he put on his condom.  It wasn't too deep inside, but I could feel it on my anus and just a bit of it inside my rectum, and it was at this point I kept talking him into putting on a condom.  After that, there was heavy penetration for quite some time, and he came inside the condom and pulled out.  It happened so quickly that I'm not sure if any part of the condom broke due to significant heavy penetration.  He most definitely does not seem to know his status.

I'm so scared right now
