Window Period

I had an exposure in December 31st. I have tested using about 10 antibody test up to three and a half months. I had a DNA PCR 1 and 2 at 4 weeks and  7 weeks and soley DNA PCR HIV 1 at 3 and a half months but I am so scared I have it. I just wondered if you can post some links saying that 3 months is conclusive. At CDC all I can see is the 6 month window for everyone. Just some links or studies or reassurance to help me out please. Teak, anyone....IM so upset and scared.

I hope you get alot more training.  The 3% are those on chemo, antirejection drugs for organ transplants and chronic IV drug abusers that may take longer than 3 months and it is rare to take that long.

Wow dude. Your super blunt and kind of hateful. That is sad. I did notice that the link was from the CDC but it is not the main website that the majority of people get there testing information from which says 97 percent at three months.
Thank you for the info man. I just want it so I can best inform my patients. God Bless you.

1. They are, had you paid attention to the URL you were given it was from the CDC
2. Since 2004
3. Don't know or care why that website gives incorrect information.

I believe my results but as a medical student I have some questions.
1. Why isn't the CDC website updated if this is their training info?
2. How long has this 3 month period been in effect?
3. Even for High risk exposures it says three months so I guess I don't understand why some people ( THE BODY) still say 6 months.
