need honest answers

Im white male 21 and stupidly had intoxicated unprotected vaginal with a girl I later found out has been with 20 guys from her. it was about 25-40 minutes and I stopped!  3 wks later woke up with red rash on head of my penis was there for almost 2 mths. it was red bumps. a week later I got sick(4wks after). white spots on my tonsils,pink eye, mild fever off and on, cough, swollen glands and lymph nodes in my neck, and one behind my ear and diarrah. also I started having pain in testies and after getting off. I had a negitive strep and mono spot test, but too ammox just in case. it went away in about 3 days,but have had a sore throat for 3 months and swollen tonsils and glands and SOB or at least pressure in chest area that comes and goes. also I get these red blood spots on the inside of my cheeks. they will be there for a few days then there gone and come back. seem to always be gone when I go to docs. tests are as follows:
8wks negitive HIV rapid
neg chalymdia,Gon, trich
9weeks neg HIV
10 wks neg HIV,HEPB,shyphilis,normal CBC
11 wks undetec. Viral load
14 wks neg HIV
15 wks neg HIV.
Docs tell me I need to retest at 6 months
Questions:
1) would the ammox I took before the chalymdia,Gon, Trich test killed it if it was there, which would have made me test negitive. it was urinalysis doc thought I had it bc of pain after ejac and in testies.

2)what could cause the red blood spots inside cheeks that come and go
3) could I still be going through seroconversion, should I be concerend with HEP C

4 does HIV casue a rash on head of penis,could it?
5)is there still a chance this might be HIV, please be honest, ARS?

6) would a rapid mono test pick up EBV? also if that was the cause woldnt my current GF have it
7) my current GF/fiance has been tested and negitive when is the point we can go back to having unprotected sex ? she is on BC
what would you look for ?

When you get infected with hiv, you get symptoms similar to yours in the first several weeks after the exposure. Thats when the virus enters the body and occupies it.

BUT  at 15 weeks negative hiv test is 100% you dont have hiv. there could be a million causes for your symptoms. 3 months after the risk is enough to be detected. 15 weeks = 3 months. Dont worry but go check whats causing ur symptoms. And trust me, if you could believe that u dont have hiv, 90% of ur symptoms would dissappear.

U can do another test in 6 monts just to eliminate your fears, but you dont have HIV.

hello to all who have helped me. Thank you very much, I will have one more test at 6 months because that is what my doctor wants to do. but I just wanted to thank all of you for what you do on a daily basis. Wether you all realize it or not your a touching so many peoples lives in ways that is unexplainable. I hope you all are right about my situation and trust me as long as 6 month test is negitive I will never make such a mistake again. but just wanted to take the time and say thank you becasue you all are the reason I have been able to sleep at night and go on with my day some what better. I am seeing counceling on a weekly basis and it has helped some but you all have really been the ones to help me through this along with the people at aids meds.

once again I am sorry for presisting on asking questions but I am just nervous because I ahve never experienced anyhting like this until a few weeks after my expouser. and they are judt continuiously on going symptoms and there really not going away. my throat stays red and inflammed, a keep ahving the dry cough,post nasel drip, a metallic taste in my mouth that doesnt go away, and the red spots in my mouth keep coming and I can never get any asnswers from any of the doctors and I have been to so many! Internal med, ENT's, and a doc that suppose to work alot with HIV patients.

1A Always carry condoms.

1B Use the last 15 weeks as a learning experience, don't forget the stress and anxiety this has caused you and that your next unprotected sex you might not dodge the bullet. 40 minutes of sex for 3 months of stress or a lifetime of HIV isn't worth it is it?

1C Get on with your lfe and have safe sex with consistent and correct use of condoms. If or when in a true monogamous relationship use condoms for 3 months then both get tested to see if you can then go without condoms.

1D See your Doctor ask for a prescription or referral for depression and/or stress and/or anxiety. Your Doctor will determine which is best for your situation.

2 See a Doctor, perhaps your Pharmacist can assist until you get an appointment.

3 Yes. You don't have HIV. You are not a rare case, if you were you would probably not be sitting at a computer.

I think your symptoms are stress, guilt related.  Nothing to do with HIV.

Go for a vacation, stay away from the computer, keep yourself busy with some activities....this may help to ease your conditions.

"playing", touching your nodes causes swelling and pain.  So if you are "poking" them, please stop.

The last time I had nodes swelling around my neck and ears are when I have a painless gum infection.  After a visit to the dentist to clean up the 'dirt" the swelling stop.....

Suggest you see a doctor for your problem.  But I am sure it is not HIV related.

Brush and floss every day for good oral health.

Yeah, sorry, was having a bit of fun. In short, what I was trying to express in code is this: you have a conclusively negative test. I do not understand why any doctor would advise you test out to 6 months when 3 months is more than enough to give you a perfectly accurate test. My advice is to maybe get a second opinion from a doctor who knows what he or she is talking about.

So, in short, no, you do not need to test again, you have tested enough. More than enough. Too much. Stop! You do not have HIV.

okay thats what I thought you were saying. took me a few times looking over it but I started to understand. I just have a hard time believeing something is not wrong being that I have been like this for so long. sometimes at night my throat glands feel so large and hard that it feels like someone is choking me. Also when I go to doctors and Ive been to alot the most I ever get out of them is "OH looks Viral" so you can see why im a bit nervous. Ive been tested for EBV and mono both negitive, strep, Neg, I asked about adenovirus and cytomegaly virus and the docs say no way they dont last this long. Actually, you are conflating the incident in question and whatever is currently producing these symptoms. This may be, in fact probably is, a logical fallacy. Just because you may have had unprotected sex, it does not then automatically stand to reason that you were infected with something. In fact, probably more times than not, you wouldn't be. As is the case here. In other words, she didn't have give you anything at all, and it looks like she did not. Because, according to your test results, you didn't catch anything, except a bad case of paranoia.

The simple fact of the matter is: test results trump emotions, or vague suspicions and, yes, even outright fear and certainty on your part that somehow you contracted HIV. The facts are these: HIV tests are very good, when used at the appropriate times, in picking up the tell tale signs of HIV. You took your test at the appropriate time, you have taken multiple test, and all of them have been negative.

I don't care what you think, what I know is this: your tests prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you did not contract HIV. And that's just the way it is, no ifs, ands or buts. So, what is causing your current issues? I have no idea. But, I do know it isn't HIV, because your tests prove that. They don't just sort of make this up as they go along, Bear, there's real science behind the tests and testing protocols. It isn't based on feelings, it isn't based on hunches. When I say you have a conclusively negative test, I mean just that: you cannot have HIV.

On another note, I do hope you figure out what is really bothering you. Just a thought, perhaps the sooner you stop focusing on HIV as the culprit, the sooner you'll figure out the true cause of the problems.

hello everyone, so I was doing really good I was enjoying myself a little finally. but At night I keep running a slight fever and I have some pains in my throat and chest. its not a panic attack it just feels like someone is steping on my chest. also my glands under my chin are quite swollen, and I have lymph nodes on each side of my neck swollen. also under my left arm I feel a few knots(these could be veins/arteries) but the ones in my neck def are nodes I am a med major so I know what they feel like. I keep getting a really bad metallic taste in my mouth. this sucks . Doc HHH said that in 3 years there has only been two cases on this site to turn positive after 3 months.

1.)has any of you guys experienced a metallic taste in the mouth. and such persistant lymph nodes. I tried thinking of other things which could be the cause but this is the only thing still possiable. please comment on it.

2) what about yeast think that could be the cause, I dont have thick white spots in my mouth (heard thats what a yeast infection would be?) but I do have some white towards the back of my tounge near the Vallet pappilla. and the rest of my tounge have a light coating but it is not major white.

3) after this expouser me and my fiance got back together. We had unprotected intercouse 2-3 times before the rash came and I got sick. know for about the last 2 months she has been having a white discharge from her vagina. I made her go to the doctors and it is yeast infection. the doc thinks.(she said it was not chlamydia or Gon, but she did the test anyway). any link between this and my symptoms. Can yeast make you sick and make you have swollen nodes?

4) I have heard ARS wouldent last this long is this true? or could you have symptoms that last 3 months.

5) does it sound like what I am haveing is shotrness of breath, becasue it feels that way.

6) I have swollen nodes in my groin but arent groin nodes often always felt easy. especially in a little smaller people. im 5'10 160 pounds so farily small.

please comment honestly I am very greatful for you guys no matter what the response is? Also I go for a rapid test tomorrow at 9 in the morning.

Keep speaking with your counselor, bears. Your problem is not HIV, it is something else entirely, and, with the help of your counselor, you are going to figure out what it is. If you have noticed, everyone who has answered has already said: you do not have HIV. No matter how many "symptoms" that you believe you may have, no one is going to tell you any different now.

Good job seeing the counselor. Takes a brave man to do it, and I commend you for it. Now, stay with it, and I promise, you'll be feeling better soon.

counceling is okay . I have suched mixed feelings I feel like I need medical help, counceling is good so I can talk to someone but I dont believe that is my problem. I ahve been on so much anxiety medicene that it is not funny and I am tired of takeing medicene constantly. I feel like I need medical answers and doctors dont even give me that I have been to several doctors. and get nothing. Yes I ahve had several negitivve tests but the symptoms are still there. and there not going anywhere. I have lylmph nodes swollen in my neck, behind my ears, and Im pretty sure under my arms now to,groin and under my chin.

I tell and show these to the doctors, but get no answers. i just get them saying:

" Well they are always there in my body, your body, and everyone elses body" but I can acually feel mine, all of my friends and family you cannot. well at leastr not like mine. they are not to the point where you can just look and see them, but you can def. feel them in various places. like I have said before they are about the size of a pea.

at times I almost completely forget about it "the topic of potentually HIV" and I almost feel back to myself again. but almost every evening I start to have cold chills or cold sweats. and always start to feel nasueated. today I started feeling like my stomach wes upset when I was driving back to my college from seeing my family and it was. I threw up 6 times.

its been 4 months from the time of the "incident" 3 months since symptoms started
(OCT 26 I know b/c I had to be somewhere important the next morning). some people tell me symptoms of HIV dont last that long, but others tell me yes the can. please help clarify this for me if you can. also I try and think" hey I had a negitive viral load at 11 weeks past, but then I think of all the people that have negitive viral loads (multiple times)
but then months later end up testing postive on antibody tests and then "slam" have a viral load. I try and tell myself if my nodes have been swollen for 3 months I would have to have detectable antibodies "if" my prob was HIV. (please help here to please) but then I Dont know im only a pre med student and although I have done extensive research for hiv since I got sick after the inceident but I dont know these answers and cant find them anywhere. please if you can help me please answer and clarify this stuff. I just dont see how this can be some freak thing.

Have unprotected oral and vaginal(one time thing) , 3 wks later rash on head of penis, wk later sick with illness described above. and has been sick ever since. I so wish I could help you, Bears, but I am not certain that I can. I do understand that you have convinced yourself that you have HIV, or may have HIV, even though the hard medical fact is that you do not, as evidenced by all of your negative tests. The tests are what you have to go by, not your feelings, not your hunch. Your feelings are doing you a disservice here.

I also know it must bother you a little to hear that you need counseling, when you truly believe that you have a medical issue. I am glad that you have someone to discuss this with, as this forum is not really conducive to those types of conversation, and no one here can help you with whatever it is you are dealing with better than a trained therapist, anyway. And sure, keep seeing your regular doctor, if only to keep him or her apprised of your situation.

So, what do I have say? Not much more than I already have said. You feel something is going on with your body. Ok, I accept that. But, whatever is going on, it has nothing to do with HIV. Again, the tests you have taken, all negative, prove that. My guess is that you will start to feel better once you accept that fact. It may take a while, but I hope that you can one day. You don't deserve to feel this way, no one does.

Keep working with your therapist. If you do not feel like this is achieving the result that you want, then find another therapist. As for the medication, I understand it can be a drag to take medication on a regular basis. Again, if you do not feel it is helping, ask to switch to something else - if you have only been taking it for a short period of time, then give it some time to work.

There is answer out there for you. My feeling is that you will find it in the therapist's office rather than your doctor's office. And that is what I think.
