question on window period

i had a broken condom exposure with csw and my 7 week result came back negative...up until 7 weeks i used condoms when i has sex with my wife. After my 7 week negative i read several forums that its 98% accurate..and the following week i had unprotected sex with my wife actally ejaculating inside her.

Now i read 2 posts where one hiv + person said he tested negative on 8 week and tested positive on  12 week window. Another person said that he tested negative for 4 months and then tested positive on his 5th month.

Now im extremley worried. Did i potentially infect my wife if i test positive on 12th week test.? Just when i thought this thing is behind me it resurfaced in my mind and bothering me again.

I thought sice 7 week antibody test came negative  my situation was on the clear. I had heard statements from Andy, Ann from POZ forum and Teak nursegirl and Lizzielou that they have never seen a broken condom male test positive or a 7 week negative test change positive..

Could i be the outlier?

Any advice?

Hold your horses, mate. Can you?

Your test result changing after 7 weeks is highly unlikely. I will not recommend you to have your wife tested at this juncture. FIRST OF ALL - You need to take your confirmatory test at the 12 weeks. If that is negative (It will be negative), you have nothing to worry. You cant give some one something that you never had.

What are the chances of receptive partner getting infected with one unprotected sex. Im thiniking the chances my wife would get infected if i test positive in 12th week.

Thanks

You don't have to have a high viral load to transmit HIV.

Yes i was planning to test at the endbof 3 month window, which is 3 weeks from now. Meanwhile i engaged in unprotected sex with my wife. Now I feel really horrible on what if i test positive and also because my viral load will be so high due to seroconversion she might get infwcted as well. Should i ask her to test as well?

3 month is when your test is conclusive. Your 7 week test is unlikely to change at this point.

A person testing negative at 4 months then positive at 5 months, unless it was the 1980's or early 1990's it didn't happen.
