rapid test for HIV 1 subtype ?

hi

This is Adam, 30 yr male. I had been to south asia , India, thailand. i had an encounter
with csw there . basically it was receiving oral sex and vaginal rubbing. but i began to
fear abt any possible transmissions of fluids into my penis because of these acts. I came to
USA and took a UNIGOLD rapid test post 1 yr exposure which came negative . I know it is fda approved for hiv1 in usa
have been reading too much on internet and had one question, does the detect non B subtypes like
subtype C, subtype A , E which are prevalent in South asia. Should i test for Hiv-2 ?

You don't need to know. You never had a risk. However, just for your info - an HIV -1 test would generically cover all the subtypes categorized under HIV-1.
