Can you please tell me if Mesalamine/Mesalazine/Pentasa can cause delayed seroconversion for HIV ?

Your input please: I know that I had low risk but what is killing me is that I read a lot of sources: (Reason one) that if you have autoimmune disease and or if you were sick, the chances are much more higher for Oral Sex... In this case, not only I was sick that day and I have UC, I also had my 3rd fellatio in 8 hours without condom through which the tip might have been fragile by then. (Reason 2): too many symptoms as mentioned above and took zillions of tests with no justification for neither (fungal infections, brown blotches, Athlete's foot, low grade fevers, blisters at groin, acne at back, insect-like pimples on arms legs and abdomen, night coughs, night sweats, lack of proper sleep, etc. / please see above) which came at a crucial time starting 15 days after exposure.
Please Teak if you don't mind, can you respond as to my input in terms of explaining why even in such circumstances oral is till low or so... please because I'm going crazy and honestly reached a point that I don't care about myself anymore as long as I didn't infect my wife or son somehow (saliva with blood or so). thanks a lot Teak .

In effect, if I still have the symptoms I wouldn't have been worried because symptoms of HIV usually occure within 2-4 weeks and last for up to 6 weeks roughly and then get suppressed by AB. So my symptoms occureed at week 2 and vanished by week 7. I'm not an expert and TEAK will be much more resourceful.

Hope you inform me what was the outcome cos I am currently facing similar situation: I had a low risk exposure but 3 fellatio in 1 day and the third one was unprotected.. on Pentasa for 2 years / Ulcerative Colitis(500mgx4/day). 15 days after exposure and over 6 weeks I experienced too many symptoms: back acne, insect-like pimples very itchy on legs, hands, and abdomen. low fever for one week, athlete's foot, penile burn, blisters x 2 on groin, minor lymph node on left neck, mouth thrush, night sweats from 15 days, coughing for 15 days, you name it. I took Duo test on day 34 and PCR on day 76 and both negative but the problem is I paid more than USD 2000 on many tests from STDs to UC hoping to find an excuse other than HIV but all came out almost normal except when I took the DUO my WBC was already dropped from 8.2 a month earlier to 6.42 and when I did the PCR my WBC was high at 9.8 and had 4-8 WBC in urine. Unfortunately, despite the good outcome, I'm living the day that I have HIV (Duo early maybe Pentasa delayed seroconversion and PCR a bit late since my antibodies would have suprressed the virus to an undetectable level)... so panicking since my doc said I would have to take a final conclusive test by June 1, 2012 (at 6 months). Your input would be highly appreciated. thanks Panther

Teak believe me its stronger than me, i am suffering
I had :
- lipodystrophia !
- headache and muscle ache
- fatigue
- diharrea
- weight loss
- sinusite
- Vertigo
All this symtoms together are to much to Forget :( especailly lipo...)
I am weak ... So weak
Now i guess my exposure was a risk ...

I do understand what you feel but you have a conclusive result.You are losing weight from stress and worry.You don't need to stress anymore,you're safe.

I saw a professional for a therapy but now i am on vacation.
I try to convince myself with test Result but i had lot of symtoms :(
I am suffering getting thin :(
Rush doesnt go Also headache... Thats why drs need me to retest

Your thinking is totally irrational.There is no such event as latent seroconversion in 2011.Your test results are final and conclusive.Believe them,if you can't then seek some therapy please.

Teak believe me i am loosing weight in some part of my body ( legs, arms, face) and gaining in other parts
Pain in legs and arms and specially today pain in shoulders, i feel like skin of shoulders is burning :(
I am convinced now that i have hiv :(
I guess that my test didnt catch it or it was later than 3 months due to my drugs i take since 3 years ...

And if you could please explain me why Mesalamine doesnt affect or delay seroconversion ? It has immunosuppressant !

if it was a late seroconversion ... will i feel the ssame symptoms but delayed ?
the rash came by week 4, sinusite also
i try to accept your answer, but it is difficult when i see my symptoms but i thank you a lot

But i do really have a rash all over my body 4 weeks afther the risk.
And all symptoms below persist :(

Arms and legs thinner, loss of fat on face and buttocks
Muscle aches / joint aches
rash all over my trunk area and genital area
constant headache
Weakness / fatigue
Sinusite

What do you suggest me to do ?

I am scared before 'Maya' a user on this site in 2008, had the same problem, and her test become positive after 14 months !

It was a proven fact that she had another exposure that resulted in her testing positive.There was another case of a french woman who lied about several exposures during the window period and claimed to test positive after 8 months.All lies.The only cases that are factual are those in the 90's.

How did you know ? she were pregnant, and she didn't mentionned that :)
