Can I rely on this test result to calm my mind a bit while the 12th week arrives?

Not long ago, I was performing oral sex to a guy I met on a bar that same night. Without me noticing (maybe because I was very drunk), I made a horrible cut on my hand probably with the wall, and when the guy ejaculated, some of his sperm fell on my cut. As soon as I realized, I went to the bathroom and washed my hand and cleaned the cut. After that episode took place, I never saw the stranger again.

Exactly 40 days after that, (that would be yesterday), I went to get tested for HIV. I haven't felt any of the symptoms described online -except for an extreme muscle pain, fever and headache that went by on their on after 3 days- still, I wanna know if I can rely on the result of this test (I'll pick it up tomorrow) to believe that I am not infected with the virus, in case it comes back negative and until the third month arrives ( the date when I can get a conclusive result). I will obviously get tested for other std's later, but this is the one that worries me the most for obvious reasons.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for the answer. Still, I have this follow-up question: How is it possible that I didn't have an exposure if the probably infected fluid came into contact with my profound wound right after it was done?
